How AJ Reno Started

My first renovation project was my own 5-room HDB flat.

Most designs I saw looked good — but didn’t feel practical to live in.
I wanted a home that worked for everyday living, while still being creative and personal.

A space where even something as ordinary as a red-and-white Merlion plastic bag wouldn’t feel out of place.

When the quotes came in, I wasn’t comfortable with the direction or the cost — so I decided to take things into my own hands.

With a clear idea of what I wanted, and Jay helping to bring it to life, the process became something I genuinely enjoyed — turning a standard interior into something personal and lived-in.

What started as a personal project soon turned into helping friends — and eventually, AJ Reno was formed.
